Tasting Notes

White chocolate — Citrus blossom — Spring herbs

Hand-harvested in the mist-covered highlands of Yame, this premium matcha is crafted by the Mizota family, a multigenerational, female-led farm with over seventy years of heritage.

Born of the rains that mark the gentle shift of seasons, Tsuyu is a matcha for moments of renewal.

Shade-grown and finely stone-milled, it offers a smooth, luminous experience — a quiet tether to now.

Matcha this fresh deserves a little care. Keep the tin sealed tight, away from light, heat, and moisture — a cool, dark cupboard is all it needs. Once opened, use within 8 weeks for the full experience.

  1. Sift the Matcha: Use a small sifter to remove any clumps from 1–2 teaspoons of matcha powder for a smooth texture.
  2. Add Water: Pour 2–3 ounces of hot water (slightly cooled after boiling) into a bowl.
  3. Whisk: Use a bamboo whisk (chasen) to whisk the matcha briskly in a zigzag motion (M or W shape) until a frothy layer forms on top.
  4. Serve: Enjoy your matcha as is, or adjust with more water or your preferred milk for a latte.
